Housing Element Updates
There are 2 months left until the December deadline for Santa Cruz Housing Element updates. Here's what's happened since last month with Housing Elements:
- Santa Cruz County (uninc): CA Housing and Community Development (HCD) is currently reviewing the City's draft and is expected to send their response to the County in October.
- Scotts Valley: CA Housing and Community Development (HCD) is currently reviewing the City's draft and is expected to send their response to the County in early October. The City did an updated draft for HCD in mid September.
- Capitola: CA Housing and Community Development (HCD) is currently reviewing the draft and is expected to send their response to Capitola this week. Capitola did an updated draft for HCD in mid September.
- Santa Cruz YIMBY’s UPDATED Letter to HCD re Capitola Housing Element (August 2023)
- Planning Commission Meeting THIS THURSDAY, Oct 5th - Agenda here
- Watsonville: We await the first draft of Watsonville's Housing Element
- City of Santa Cruz: CA Housing and Community Development (HCD) sent their response to the City on August 8th. The City submitted a new version to HCD in late August.
